New Ulm Precision Tool, Inc. (NUPTI) has been building progressive and compound dies since it opened its doors in 1974. The classes of dies we specalize in are Class "AA", "A", and "B". With our CNC machining, grinding, jig grinding and EDM capabilities, along with our design department equipped with Logopress3 die design software, we are able to design and build high class, close tolerance dies. We also design and build compound and progressive dies using carbide inserts or solid carbide sections.

The dies built at NUPTI, may run material from a few thousands thick up to approximately 1/4" thick. Although we have built dies that run thicker material, most of the dies we have built run material that is 14 gage thick or less.

NUPTI also designs and builds dies for secondary operations. These would include forming, coining, extruding, mild drawing and other similar operations.
